How to Set Up a STAR Cash Drawer

The following steps are required to ensure the proper configuration of a cash drawer. 

The provided walk-through is showing Star Cash drawer (connected to Start POS printer) configuration steps.

Other manufacturer drawers may have slightly different steps. If you are still experiencing issues - please open a ticket in our online helpdesk system

  • Go to Devices and Printers in your Control panel
  • Right-click on Star Printer and select Printer properties


  • Switch to Device Settings tab, select Cash Drawer in Peripheral Unit section and Document Top in Unit 1/Unit 2 sections

  • Click Apply and Ok
